Inerail has broken their Voice Services down into two basic categories, to help make it easier to determine what service is right for what client:
- Incoming telephone service.
Incoming telephone service is categorized as what a caller will hear when calling your telephone number, and how they will reach you. Inerail can provide telephone numbers in any US area code, and in many regions of most other countries, including toll-free numbers in most regions.
Once a telephone number (or in some cases, a set of telephone numbers) has been established, it has to be decided what the caller will hear when they call. Receiving a call can be as simple as having a telephone on your desk ring. There are, however, many options more complex than this. Inerail can provide you with multiple phones that can all ring at the same time, callers could be put in a queue, listening to music while they wait for you to answer. Or, caller's could be prompted with anything ranging from a simple to a complex menu system with options, directing their call to one of many telephones at your office. With VoIP technology, the phones do not even have to be located at your office -- they can be anywhere with an internet connection, making remote working an even easier possibility.
In addition, Inerail provides voicemail and call-forwarding services. These can be used with our other incoming telephone services, so you can have different voicemail boxes or call forwards as the result of different menu options. You could even have an option ring another telephone number and your Inerail desk phone at the same time, and if neither are picked up, have it be answered by your Inerail voicemail. The possibilities are many, and if you can think it, we can implement it into your phone system for you.
- Outgoing telephone service.
Outgoing telephone service is defined as what a person who is standing at your Inerail telephone will be able to do using that phone. This can be as simple as picking up a telephone and dialing a phone number to call. You can have multiple telephones in your office, and design a cost-effective but complex phone system where people within your office can call each other for free, transfer calls to one another, or leave each other voicemail. This can even be setup at mutiple physical locations at no additional service charges!
Plus, as a benefit of using VoIP technology, you can also use a softphone. A softphone is a virtual telephone that runs on any computer, meaning that you'd effectively be able to use your computer like your telephone, wherever you are. Using this, you'd be able to make and receive calls as if you were sitting at your desk -- and there'd be no indication to the people you were calling that you weren't.
Furhtermore, with Inerail VoIP service, calls to other Inerail voice customers are free. Another benefit to VoIP technology is the fact that calls stay on the internet until they get as close as they can to their destination. But if your call is to another Inerail customer, then it stays on the internet for it's entire path. This means it costs us nothing to deliver your call, so we in turn charge you nothing for this call.
