The most basic incoming telephone service of all is also probably the most obvious -- when someone calls your Inerail voice telephone number (which can be in almost any areacode of most countries -- not necessarily where you are, and you can even have more than one), your phone rings. This phone would be a special phone that would connect to the internet using your existing high-speed internet connection, instead of connecting to the normal telephone lines that you would use.
In addition to this very basic service, you could optionally have a voicemail service, which could take the call if you're not there. When you have a message, a light on your phone would indicate this and you'd be a single button away from hearing this message. For added convenience, the message could also be emailed to you!
Furthermore, if you don't intend to answer your phone and just want voicemail service, it's silly to have a phone in the first place! With Inerail voice, your telephone number could automatically go right to voicemail, and then our voicemail systems would email your message to you. You'd get automatic notification on your computer when you have a message, and you wouldn't even need a phone to listen to it.
Included Services
As part of our incoming voice service, we include some additional services at no extra cost:
- Caller ID: You'll know who's called you while you were out, when they called you, and what number they called from, right on your phone's screen. Additionally, when you're receiving a call, you'll know who's calling you right now!
- Call Waiting: With Inerail voice, you'll have the ability to receive multiple calls at the same time. If you get an additional call while you're on the phone, your phone will beep to let you know there's another call waiting, and will display the other call's Caller ID information on the screen. You can press one button to switch between all the calls you have, or even conference them together into one big call!
- Free Incoming Minutes: This freebie's availability varies by region and area code, but for most of our incoming telephone service, we're able to include a large bucket of free incoming minutes each month.
- Free Calls from other users: Other Inerail voice subscribers will be able to call you at no cost to either of you! If you call other employees a lot, getting this inexpensive telephone service for each employee could save you remarkably in usage charges.
Pricing
Our basic incoming voice service starts at $5.00 per month, and varies depending on what services you choose to subscribe to. Toll-Free incoming service starts at $6.00 per month. Other than any free incoming minutes that may be included with our basic plan in some areas, this doesn't include any usage charges. Usage charges start at $0.02/min ($0.04/min for Toll-Free), and vary depending on what region your telephone number is in and what other services you subscribe to.
